I moved to Madison during COVID because of a new job. Alone and isolated, I found myself sinking into depression and anxiety. My life revolved around work, and I came home to an empty space filled with dark thoughts. One day, while scrolling through YouTube, I stumbled upon Christian videos and online churches. I started reading the Bible, even turning it into a competition using an app that tracked my progress.

I prayed and called prayer lines but still felt uneasy. Local churches didn’t resonate with me. Then, I discovered LICM and Pastor Rennet online. I attended a few sessions quietly. When Pastor Rennet responded to one of my comments, I was shocked. I continued watching and occasionally donated. I also joined an online LICM class on Kianos, which was incredibly enlightening.

One day, amidst my struggles, I decided to attend LICM in person. The first time, I missed them due to an event, but something urged me to try again the following Sunday. As I hesitated at the entrance, Pastor Tabitha greeted me warmly, encouraging me to stay. I met Pastor Rennet, who remembered my online screen name, which was another pleasant surprise.

As I continued attending LICM, my fear, anxiety, depression, and dark thoughts gradually diminished. Today, I’m much better than before. The teachings, fellowship, classes, revivals, and conferences helped me understand Christ's deliverance. If you’re struggling, I encourage you to come to Christ, learn about Him, pray to Him, and let Him be with you and within you. Trust in His love and power, and know that whatever you’re going through, He can lead you out. Life is better with Christ. The journey is tough, but it gets better. Fear, vices, and negativity fade, and you start attracting better things. It’s not easy, but it got a lot better for me. It’s hard to explain in words—you’ll just have to trust and experience it for yourself. You’ll be okay.
