Discovering God’s Purpose for Our Lives

I’m so excited to share with you today what God has placed on my heart. It’s incredible when we realize just how much He has in store for us. For me, for you, for everyone who’s open to His voice—He’s ready to move in powerful ways. There’s a verse in the Bible that says, “The violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12). This doesn’t mean being physically violent, of course, but spiritually, we’ve got to be fierce. We can’t sit back and watch while others receive more of God’s blessings. We need to stand up and claim what He has for us, believing with all our hearts that He wants to pour out His goodness in our lives.

Before we dive into this, let’s take a moment to give God praise. Let’s open our mouths and lift our voices in worship. There’s something powerful about speaking life, about declaring God’s promises out loud. When we do that, we’re stretching out our faith and inviting His presence to move. As we open ourselves up to His Spirit, I believe we’ll see breakthroughs today—spiritual, emotional, and even physical.

Today, I want you to say something with me: “God is aligning my life with His purpose. Everything He planned for me is coming to life.” When we speak these words, we’re agreeing with what God has already written about us. Everything He’s hidden within us—our dreams, our gifts, our calling—it’s time for that to be activated.

I had the privilege of visiting Zimbabwe recently, and it amazed me to see how God moves in places that people often overlook. The world might look at Zimbabwe and say, “What good can come from there?” It’s similar to what people said about Nazareth when Jesus was born. But in those places where the world sees little, God sees much. I witnessed His Spirit moving powerfully, changing lives, and it reminded me that His plans often exceed our expectations.

God has a specific purpose for each of us, just like He did for Elijah and Elisha. When Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit, he was asking for more than power—he was asking for a deeper connection with God. That’s what we need to seek. It’s not just about praying in Jesus’ name; it’s about knowing Him, walking closely with Him, and having a relationship that goes beyond words. There’s power in that connection, and when we live with it, we begin to see God move in ways we’ve only dreamed about.

I want to remind you of something important: God knew you before you were born. He knows every detail of your life, every joy, every pain, and He has a plan for you. You’re not an accident. You were created with purpose, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Sometimes life can make us question our value, but let me tell you—God never questions it. He sees you, He loves you, and He’s ready to fulfill the destiny He’s placed inside you.

But here’s the thing: you’ve got to go all in with God. There can’t be a plan B. If God has called you to something, trust Him. Don’t hold back or second-guess what He’s doing in your life. When we fully surrender to His will, He fights for us. When we choose to live for Him and not for ourselves, that’s when we see the real transformation. God wants to bless us, but He also wants our hearts fully committed to Him. It’s not about using God to get what we want; it’s about loving Him for who He is and letting Him guide our lives.

The Bible calls us to be living sacrifices (Romans 12:1). Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us, but that doesn’t mean we’re off the hook. We’re called to give our lives to Him, not just in words, but in action. That’s how we honor God—not by doing the bare minimum, but by giving Him our all, just as He gave His all for us.

As we step into this week, I want to encourage you to reflect on your relationship with God. Are you going all in? Are you trusting Him fully? I believe that when we do, we will see the greater things He has for us come to pass.
