Elevating Your Life Beyond Need-Based Prayers
There comes a point in your life when need-based prayers for your own life will no longer dominate your thoughts. If you find yourself praying primarily from a place of need, it might be a sign that your focus isn’t fully on the Kingdom of God and His righteousness with all your heart and mind.
The psalmist reminds us, “I have the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.” This declaration is not about asking for basic necessities like milk or meat; it’s about keeping God at the forefront of every aspect of life.

When you begin to operate with God at the center, you elevate your life.
Elevation is not merely a result of striving but comes from a deep focus on Jesus Christ. At some point, you stop striving and start operating in a flow that yields benefits beyond what you could ever contain.
Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” He is not a God who withholds blessings; He desires to bless you abundantly.
It’s easy to feel trapped in a cycle of survival, wondering how you’ll make ends meet. However, we must not reduce God to our limited circumstances. Instead of viewing God through the lens of your situation, aim to rise to His level. A king rewards according to his riches, not based on your current situation. No matter what you’re facing, declare, “God, I’m ready to receive all that You have for me.” By doing so, you open yourself to the abundance of life He offers, allowing your life to become a testament to His grace and provision.
