Faith is Not Guesswork

Faith is not guesswork. Faith is evidence of things not seen. Evidence is a strong word; it’s not guesswork. But a lot of times, we’ve turned faith into something uncertain. If it doesn’t happen, we might say it’s not God’s will, justifying it because God is sovereign. Christians often have a way of rationalizing why certain things happen, but God wants you to have divine intelligence. This divine intelligence promotes faith that will help you grow; you will not be stagnant.

Today, let’s open our Bibles to the book of Ephesians, a letter written by Apostle Paul. The scripture says in chapter 5, verses 1 and 2, “Be ye therefore followers of God as dear children; walk in love as Christ also hath loved us.” This means you must love like Jesus and walk like Jesus. To walk in love, you must live by faith in the Son of God who gave Himself for you.

The way you walk in love is by faith in the Son of God. A life lived by faith is a life in the Spirit, and life in the Spirit is synonymous with walking in love. These are just different dimensions of manifesting love.

Now let’s go to Ephesians chapter 6, verse 10, which says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” You are to be strong in the Lord, not relying on your own strengths or qualifications. You need to put on the whole armor of God. The armor of God is not just any armor; it is the armor that God wears. God shares His glory, divine nature, and power with believers, as well as His armor.

Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might so you can put on the whole armor of God. This armor is not ordinary; it is God’s own strength and protection, meant to fit only those who are strong in Him.
