The Divine Warrior: Standing Strong in God’s Armor

God is a warrior; He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The only reason He had to become the Lamb of God was for our redemption. If humanity had not fallen, Jesus would not have had to manifest in the flesh. His purpose was to redeem us from our fallen state. By putting on the whole armor of God, we can stand against the schemes of the devil. When we wear God’s armor, we are wearing what God would wear for war, thus filled with His might and power, making us formidable against the enemy.

Spiritual warfare is not about fighting; it’s about standing firm. Many Christians don’t realize that the battle has already been won through Christ. We’re not called to engage in active combat but to hold our ground in the victory that has already been secured. Just like a skilled boxer who evades punches, we can stand and let the enemy tire himself out.

When we occupy the territory that Christ has won for us, we prevent the enemy from returning to reclaim what is rightfully ours. If our lives are filled with God, there is no room for darkness. We must remain strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, ensuring that we are truly occupied by His presence. Only then can we confidently say that our lives are filled and fortified against the schemes of the devil.
