The Importance of Balancing the Spirit and the Word
We are people who are full of the Spirit and full of the Word. Some go too much into the Word without the Spirit, while others get too immersed in the Spirit without the Word. If you are just full of the Word and no Spirit, you dry up; if you only go in the Spirit without the Word, you blow up. When you're full of both the Spirit and the Word, you grow up!

The problem is that some are just going "Word, Word, Word," and they’re dry, while others don’t even know the Word; they can do shakaba and see visions, but don't know the Word and are soon seen nowhere. There are those, however, who are full of both the Word and the Spirit.
Think about the Word of God as your surfboard and the waves as the Holy Ghost. Without that strong foundation, you will drown. You can't ride a wave if you're stuck; you’re supposed to ride the wave of the Spirit. Those who don’t have the Word cannot navigate the waves of the Spirit.
Whatever we do here, we give you divine intelligence. The scripture says, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” The Word develops your ability to hear, and when your hearing ability in the Spirit is developed, faith comes alive. When I’m doing something, we are doing it intentionally by the Spirit, not just guessing that God will do something. Faith is built on this foundation.
